Grand Opening October 11, 2008

The Steering Committee poses before the opening.

Group hug. Check out the finished playground—it's big and beautiful, just waiting for the kids.

One of our biggest supporters, Shirli Flack, couldn't make it, but her children, John & Vici Dohrwardt, and Rose Morgan, came to celebrate with us.

Another of our biggest supporters, Dick Pieper came to introduce his daughter Bridget, who first brought us to the attention of the Pieper Family Foundation.

Our Fearless Leaders: Mardy McGarry, who first had the dream, and Jeff and Sue Mayer, who had the drive (and the J&H Heating trucks and equipment) to make the dream a reality!

Sammy gets the honor of breaking the chain and taking
the first step, with Mom Sue Mayer and sister Danielle.

Hundreds of people poured in.

Grandpa John, did Daddy really build this
castle for me?

Mom and Dad, look how high I can climb!

Cute as peaches aboard our newly painted elephant.

Our turtle finally found a friend.

"Wheeeeee" Thanks "Gus" for building Possibility Playground.

And they kept pouring in.

Whether ripping down the Thunder Slide........

Or gently slipping down the Castle Slide, it was
smiles all around!

"I Helped Build Possibility Playground"

We should have installed a turnstile to count the thousands who visited the playground in the first two days. It stayed this busy until Sunday Night!
